Chesterfield, Mo - Open Cell Foam (7)
The basement of this home was insulated for both sound and thermal purposes. We installed 3.5 inches of spray foam on the foundation walls creating an excellent air and thermal barrier. To improve the sound dampening of the floors above Green Space installed 3" of open cell spray foam insulation. -
St. Louis, Mo - Brewery Spray Foam Project (10)
Green Space Construction insulated this 9500 square foot addition to a local brewery in downtown St. Louis. We applied closed cell spray foam insulation to all walls, ceilings and structural elements within the building creating an airtight and waterproof envelope. Closed cell foam further complimented the new structure by keeping thermal temperatures consistent which is critical for the correct brewing process. -
Richmond Heights, Mo - Closed Cell Spray Foam (5)
The homeowner of this home in Clayton, Mo contacted us to insulate the floor of his new addition. A living space was created above their existing garage. 2" of closed cell foam was installed to prevent unwanted gas from reaching the living space. The new r-value of the garage ceiling is 15. -
St. Louis, Mo - Closed Cell Spray Foam (6)
This commercial building formerly had fiberglass batt. insulation installed on the corrugated metal exterior walls. The fiberglass was removed and 2" of closed cell foam was installed. Closed cell foam effectively stops condensation issues associated with metal buildings while providing excellent energy efficiency benefits as well. -
Clayton, Mo - Closed Cell Spray Foam (7)
This detached garage was insulated in order to create an air and thermal barrier for the living quarters above. Closed cell foam was installed on the garage ceiling stopping all air infiltration and improving the energy efficiency of the space. -
Marthasville, Mo - Open & Closed Cell Spray Foam (10)
Both open and closed cell spray foam insulation were installed in this historic home located in Marthasville, Mo. This home was built in the late 1800's making it the perfect candidate for spray foam insulation. On the second level, Green Space insulated all of the exterior walls with 3" of open cell spray foam. The corrugated metal roof was insulated next with 2" of closed cell spray foam making it energy efficient and water proof. -
South St. Louis, Mo. - Closed Cell Spray Foam (6)
2" of closed cell spray foam was installed in this sun porch to air seal and improve the thermal properties of the office space above. -
Glendale, Mo - Open Cell Spray Foam (8)
A 3200 sq. ft. addition was added to this home in Glendale, Mo. The homeowner requested that our spray foam crews install 3.5 inches of open cell spray foam. The new addition has exterior walls with r-values of more than 19. -
Granite City, IL - Closed Cell Spray Foam (8)
The basement of this church was insulated by Green Space Construction in November of 2011. All of the exterior concrete foundation walls were insulated with 2" of closed cell spray foam insulation. -
Kirkwood, Mo - Attic Spray Foam (4)
The attic of this home in Kirkwood, Mo. was insulated with closed cell spray foam insulation at a depth of 2". This attic is soon to be transformed into a working office, making spray foam the perfect fit for maximizing the energy efficiency within the space. -
Oakville, Mo - Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation (5)
Green Space Construction recently insulated this newly constructed home in Oakville, MO with nearly 3.5 inches of closed cell spray foam. The homeowner has achieved an R-value of nearly 30 in the exterior walls! This exceptional R-value cannot be reached with any other material other than closed cell spray foam. Spray foam insulation works as a moisture barrier and also fills all cracks, gaps and voids preventing all negative energy loss within the home. -
St. Louis, Mo - Closed Cell Foam Application (4)
Green Space insulated the exterior walls of this residential home with 2" of closed cell spray foam. The homeowner has reported tremendous energy savings compared to the uninsulated walls that were previously within the home. -
St. James, Mo - Spray Foam Insulation Project (9)
Closed cell foam was applied at this residence located in St. James, Mo. Green Space applied 2" of foam to the exterior wall cavities, metal roof and crawlspace. The homeowner can expect to see drastically reduced energy costs throughout the year! -
St. Charles, Mo - Basement Spray Foam (8)
The owner of this home called Green Space to insulate his recently water damaged basement. The existing fiberglass insulation within the walls of the basement had been damaged by a flood and had to be removed. The homeowner requested that we install closed cell spray foam to prevent this issue again in the future. Closed cell spray foam is 100% moisture resistant and will not be damaged by water. -
Cedar Hill Band Board Project (4)
Uninsulated band boards are a key area for energy loss within a home. Green Space Construction installed spray foam insulation at the basement band boards of this home located in Cedar Hill, Mo. -
St. Peters, Mo - Sunroom Insulation (3)
This home had an uninsulated attic space above the sun room in the rear of the residence. Throughout the year, this home was loosing all of the conditioned air in the space through the ceiling and roof. Green Space Construction applied 10" of blown cellulose insulation, creating a thermal barrier over the sun room and dramatically improving the energy efficiency within this room. -
Creve Couer Attic Insulation (4)
Green Space insulated this home with 12" of blown cellulose insulation. We also insulated an exposed skylight with spray foam insulation. -
Labadie Weatherization Project (11)
Green Space Construction partnered with a local energy auditor on this weatherization project in Labadie, Missouri. Our client was paying nearly $800 a month to heat their home in the coldest months of the year. After a blower door test was conducted it was determined that the air leakage was equivalent to a 24x24" window being open all year. Thermal imaging revealed numerous areas throughout the residence that had insufficient insulation and air leakage. -
University City Energy Efficiency Project (7)
For this home in U. City, the homeowner was paying way too much to heat and cool their home. Green Space analyzed the property and recommended a first phase of improvements. This work included blown cellulose attic insulation at R-38, a custom built attic hatch cover, air sealing at attic stairs, and insulation at HVAC ducts. -
Webster Groves Attic Knee Wall Insulation (5)
At this home in Webster Groves, Green Space transformed the attic knee wall spaces of a traditional craftsman bungalow. The home had inadequate amounts of fiberglass batt insulation in the walls and floor joists. Furthermore, the exterior walls were exposed masonry units, which are notoriously poor insulators. This masonry exterior had large holes throughout and many gaps and cracks for air to penetrate. Green Space installed rigid foam board to these exterior walls, and sealed all gaps and seams with spray foam insulation. By doing so, these walls were now completely sealed from air leaks. In the walls, we installed a mesh barrier and dense packed blown cellulose insulation in the cavities. At the floor joists, we installed blown cellulose at a thickness of 12" to achieve an R-value of 30. The end result is a home that will be significantly more comfortable and energy efficient.
